Was his short run - where he averaged 11.7 points and 8.8 rebounds per game - enough to guarantee a place in this new Magic future? And Carter’s time was running out with the prospect of restricted free agency looming after the 2022 season. The trick though was going to be about how the Magic put all their pieces together.
